Untitled (2025), an original large-scale abstract acrylic painting on wood panel by Sacramento artist Douglas Keliiheleua Kleinsmith. Expansive fields of turquoise, cerulean blue, and soft lavender surround billowing, cloudlike forms in pale peach, pink, and ivory. Sharp, angular strokes of deep teal and charcoal cut diagonally across the composition, contrasting with luminous, atmospheric passages and fluid, sweeping brushwork. This 42 x 60-inch contemporary abstract painting combines gestural abstraction, layered textures, and dramatic contrasts between soft and hard edges.
